Privacy Notice
This notice explains how KerrWood Perimeter Protection uses personal information when you contact us about our services.
Who we are
KerrWood Perimeter Protection provides installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) and vehicle access control systems throughout the UK.
The organisation responsible for your personal information (the data controller) is KerrWood Perimeter Protection.
For privacy enquiries, email admin@kerrwood.co.uk.
Information we collect
We collect the information you provide through our enquiry form or correspondence: your name, email address, telephone number, company or organisation, site or project location, the help you need and your message. You may also supply equipment manufacturer, model and approximate unit numbers.
The form requires your name and message; other details are optional. We need sufficient contact information to reply. The submitting IP address is included in the enquiry email to help identify misuse and protect the enquiry service.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, assess requirements, prepare quotations, arrange and deliver services, keep relevant business records and deal with questions, faults or complaints. We also use it where necessary to meet legal obligations and protect our business and enquiry service.
Our lawful bases
- Contract: to take steps you request before entering into a contract with you, or to fulfil that contract.
- Legitimate interests: to respond to business enquiries, communicate with representatives of clients and suppliers, administer our services and prevent misuse, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
Who we may share information with
Relevant information may be accessed by personnel handling your enquiry and by hosting, email and IT providers supporting our systems. Where necessary for your enquiry or project, we may share relevant details with manufacturers, contractors or other service partners. Information may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We limit sharing to information needed for the relevant purpose.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Retention depends on whether an enquiry leads to work, any ongoing support requirements, applicable record-keeping duties and the need to resolve disputes or legal claims. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of processing or transfer of information in a portable format. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise your rights, email admin@kerrwood.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity. Rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your information, please contact us at admin@kerrwood.co.uk so we can investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, through its complaints service.
